The Community Housing Association of Dodge City (CHAD) is a 501(c)(3) organization created to address the housing needs in and around Dodge City.
Operated by CHAD, the Community Home Renovation Program encourages and assists residents who live within Dodge City limits to upgrade the conditions of their homes.
Operated by CHAD, Paint Dodge assists residents to repaint the exterior of their homes and alleviate deteriorating housing conditions throughout Ford County.
Kansas Weatherization Assistance Program (KWAP)
KWAP provide eligible homes with weatherization, improving energy efficiency and lowering utility bills.
Abandoned Housing Program
Operated by CHAD, the Abandoned Housing Program is uses a two-pronged approach to create affordable housing; rehabbing vacant homes and constructing new homes on vacant lots.
Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP)
The Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP) is an incentive designed to inspire the revitalization of residential areas throughout the southern half of Dodge City. The NRP provides a 95% property tax rebate for 5 years on the incremental increase in property taxes due to a renovation or new build.
Rural Housing Incentive District
The Rural Housing Incentive Districts (RHID) is a program designed to aid developers to build housing within communities by assisting in the financing of public improvements. RHID captures the incremental increase in real property taxes created by a housing development project for up to 25 years.
