Dodge City Housing Authority

The Dodge City Housing Authority (DCHA) provides affordable housing for qualified families living within the city limits of Dodge City, Kansas.

The DCHA offers the following three programs designed to make decent, safe and affordable housing a reality for lower income families in our Community:

303 units owned and operated by the Dodge City Housing Authority, comprised of 4 developments throughout Dodge City.

  • South Hi-Rise Four story, 120 unit complex located at 401 Longbranch. 72 efficiency (studio) apartments, 42 one bedroom units and six two-bedroom units. Designed mainly for singles/couples.
  • North Hi-Rise Three-story, 59 unit complex located at 407 E. Bend. 59 one Bedroom apartments. Designed mainly for singles/couples.
  • 68 units located in the 600 block of Market Street. 24 one bedroom units (4 sixplexes), 32 two bedroom units (16 duplexes) and 12 three bedroom units (six duplexes).
  • Comanche Terrace – 56 units located at the corner of Comanche and Avenue H. Six one bedroom units (three duplexes), 32 two bedroom units (16 duplexes) and 18 three bedroom units (nine duplexes).

12 units scattered throughout Dodge City, giving residents the opportunity to become homeowners. 8 three bedroom homes and 4 four bedroom homes.

134 vouchers allowing participants to receive affordable rent in privately owned and operated units of housing, within the city limits of Dodge City, Kansas.

All three DCHA programs are fully subsidized (Resident pays 30% of Adjusted Gross Income toward housing and utilities per month). Application/waiting lists are open at all times. Qualification for all programs offered by the DCHA is at 80% of median income or below per applicants family size.
